The closer is driven by a precision heat-treated steel rack-and-pinion mechanism housed in a PU-painted aluminum casing. Designed for heavy door applications, it supports weight loads between 85 kg and 120 kg with door width capacities ranging from 950 mm to 1400 mm. The unit operates across a full 180° swing angle and includes an adjustable Power Size rating (EN Size 3–6) alongside a 90° hands-free hold-open mechanism.
It features independent dual-screw valves for standard closing sweep speed and final latching speed. Tamper-proof, non-removable adjustment valves paired with vacuum-sealed hydraulic construction prevent internal oil leaks. The high-grade hydraulic fluid remains stable from -15°C to 50°C, preventing seasonal drag or sudden loosening. The unit is rated for universal non-handed installation (left or right swing, standard or transom mount) on wooden and metal doors, and is endurance-tested for 100,000 open/close cycles.
The Godrej Cerus Pelmet Arm Universal Door Closer is a heavy-duty hydraulic closing solution engineered with an integrated pelmet arm design. It delivers strong, silent, and hands-free door control for high-traffic entryways without compromising on room aesthetics.
Product Overview & Description
Built for both heavy residential main doors and commercial settings, this pelmet arm model combines a durable PU-painted aluminum body with a heavy-duty steel arm assembly. The pelmet arm structure allows for a clean overhead mount on top of door frames while supporting built-in 90° hold-open functionality for open-access areas. Utilizing a heat-treated alloy steel rack-and-pinion hydraulic drive submerged in thermostable fluid, it offers smooth door motion, preventing high-velocity slamming across extreme seasonal temperature
